Board Member
Mr. Zola joined the MB&T Board in 2023. He is the Founder of Direct Affect, Inc. a California benefit Corporation and currently serves as Board Chair of Cottage Health. Previously employed by Winmark Corporation (NASDAQ:WINA), he served as President of Winmark Capital Corporation (2005), a member of the Board of Directors (2011) and Vice Chairman of the Board (2016) until his departure in 2019. Steve has also held a number of positions in technology companies including President and CEO of CrystalVoice Communications (a VoIP software company acquired by Global IP Solutions in 2007), SVP of Sales and Marketing at Winthrop Resources Corporation (NASDAQ:WINR), Area Sales Manager at Pilot Executive Software, and Account Executive at IBM Corporation.
In addition to his corporate tenures, other experience includes non-profit board involvement in finance, compensation, governance and strategic planning and the establishment of a successful commercial real estate investment fund. Steve and his wife have been residents of Santa Barbara and active in the community for more than 33 years, and his other interests include running, skiing, hiking and travel.
