With Online Account Opening you can open an individual or joint personal checking and/or savings account from anywhere and at any time you like using your desktop computer, phone, or tablet. The secure application only takes about 10 minutes to complete and we will guide you through each step.

Open online
  • You must be 18 years old and reside within the Bank's footprint to apply online.
  • Trusts and businesses cannot apply online at this time.
  • You will need your SSN or ITIN number as well as your Government Issued Identification, such as a Driver's License.
  • If another person will be a joint owner on your account(s), they should be with you when you apply to enter and validate their personal information.
  • Your application will be reviewed within 2 business days. If approved you will be sent a link to our Online Account Opening Portal to electronically sign your signature card and upload any remaining required documents.

Checking Account Types

  1. For Cashback Checking, Access Checking and Private Access Checking accounts only. Montecito Bank & Trust does not charge fees for the use of any MB&T or non-MB&T ATMs. In addition, we reimburse you for ATM and point of sale (POS) fees charged by third parties if the third party identifies the fee or surcharge as a separate transaction.
