With ACH, funds can be sent or collected in batches. ACH transfers typically take 1 to 3 days to process, though same-day transfers are available. At MB&T, ACH transfers are only available for US bank accounts. Wire transfers are single transfers, sent directly from one bank to another, typically same-day. MB&T offers both US and foreign wire transfers, in US Dollar or foreign currenvy.

In general, we recommend ACH transfers over checks for any payments or collection, as these transactions are faster and more secure than checks. If your business receives a lot of checks, we recommend remote deposit capture, where your can scan batches of checks directly to the bank from your officer with a bank-provided scanner. Our RDC service will create an electonic deposit slip and a receipt with copies of your deposited checks for easy recordkeeping. Lastly, Positive Pay is ideal for businesses with high transaction volume, where daily reconciling can be challanging and fraudulent items can be easily missed.
