Craig Zimmerman

Mr. Zimmerman was elected to the Board of Directors of Montecito Bank & Trust in April of 2010. Until 2019, Craig was President of The Towbes Group, where he oversaw all of the company's operating divisions including development, construction, commercial and residential property management, and maintenance services. Mr. Zimmerman has served as the Board Chair of the UCSB Economic Forecast Project, Trustee of the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara, The Towbes Foundation and Santa Barbara Middle School.

Craig enjoys bike riding all around Santa Barbara, making the most of the endless opportunities to take in the beauty from different vantage points. He and his wife enjoy traveling to visit their adult children in New York but always enjoy returning home to Santa Barbara.

What does being a Director of MB&T mean to you?

"Being a Director of MB&T is an honor and has been a wonderful and humbling experience. But more than that, being a Director is a role with great responsibility to our community, our stakeholders, all that came before us, and to Michael Towbes personally. The Directors are one of the cogs that keep the flame burning that Michael ignited. I think about the great leaders that served the bank and the community and I hope to help usher the bank into the future in a manner that would make all former Directors proud."
