Montecito Bank & Trust associates award 10 local nonprofits with Anniversary Grants
Santa Barbara, CA - Local nonprofit representatives joined Montecito Bank & Trust employees at the bank's annual Anniversary Grants reception Thursday evening. Heading into its 43rd anniversary, the Bank awarded grants of $2,000 to each of the 10 local nonprofits, all hand-selected by employees after they campaigned, rallied and voted for the organizations that mean so much to them. For the 10th straight year, recipients also received a short promotional video showcasing each organization's extraordinary work, produced by Cox Communications.
Janet A. Garufis, Chairman and CEO said, "This is the first Anniversary Grants reception since Michael Towbes' passing. He created this program in 1993 to celebrate the philanthropic work of our associates in the communities we serve and to give each of them a choice in the direction of our corporate giving. It is through special programs like this one that we continue his legacy and the values our Bank was founded on under his leadership."
